Dr. Sandra Rumi Madhu, PhD (UK), MSN (DU), MPH (RH), MSS in CSW (DU), BScN (DU).
Dr. Sandra Rumi Madhu is a distinguished nurse educator, researcher, and academic leader with over a decade of excellence in nursing and midwifery education, public health, and health systems strengthening. Her expertise in sexual and reproductive health, maternal and newborn health, midwifery education, and competency-based training positions her as a key contributor to advancing quality healthcare education and practice in Bangladesh.

Currently serving as Chair and Associate Professor at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, Dr. Madhu plays a pivotal role in curriculum development, Outcome-Based Education (OBE) implementation, and academic quality assurance. She is deeply engaged in strengthening nursing and midwifery education through innovative teaching methodologies, simulation-based learning, and alignment with international standards and WHO guidelines.

Previously held key leadership roles as Vice-Principal and Principal in reputed Nursing Colleges as in Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing (GCCN) and Bangladesh Adventist Nursing College (BANC). With strong expertise in research, program development, and capacity building, Dr. Madhu has contributed to national and international initiatives, including collaborations with James P. Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University and icddr,b. She started her career in the clinical area at Apollo Hospital, Dhaka. Her research interests span nursing education, maternal and newborn health, reproductive health, and emerging innovations such as artificial intelligence in healthcare education.

Dr. Madhu has published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to a wide range of research projects addressing critical public health challenges. She has received advanced training in leadership, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and midwifery education across Asia and Europe, and is recognized as a Young Midwife Leader under the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM).

An inspiring educator and proactive academic leader, she has mentored numerous nursing and midwifery students and contributed to faculty development and institutional advancement. Committed to excellence in education, research, and service, Dr. Sandra Rumi Madhu continues to shape competent, compassionate, and globally responsive healthcare professionals.
